Like much of the country, we had a hot spell here in East Tennessee recently. I'm not well suited to heat and humidity, but I can always find a pleasant reprieve in The Great Smoky Mountains, where the temperatures are usually about ten degrees cooler than in downtown Knoxville.
I had a lot of fun painting this study. Sometimes, I listen to the roar of the water, and sometimes I listen to my music. When I painted this, I had Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah's "Perspectives" on heavy repeat. PERFECTION!
