A late October afternoon in the Great Smoky Mountains immediately caught my eye with this beautiful stand of trees and gentle cascade of the Middle Prong River in the foreground.
This is the painting for July in my Jewel Tones series, a celebration of the traditional birthstone for each calendar month. It originated from a smaller study earlier this year, Study, Autumn Embers.
