This moment comes from my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee during a crystal clear winter evening heading west along Kingston Pike.
Kingston Pike bisects much of Knoxville. When I first moved to the city I found it confusing because it's an endless stream of strip malls and gas stations, and it all sort of blurs together for me. But I'm starting to discover interesting bends and moments depending on the season and the time of day.
This painting grew up from an initial study I created in late 2023.
