For over twenty years, I’ve painted cityscapes. I particularly enjoy urban portraiture. I love exploring how anonymous individuals “fit” within their surroundings, often through the pattern of shapes, colors, and shadows around them. I caught this woman in Center City Philadelphia, and I was drawn to the bright, sunlit colors and her pop of color within the architecture.
