2021 Schedule

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. The Covid-19 virus outbreak has created a lot of uncertainty in our lives and art shows are among the many things affected. Nonetheless, thanks to technology we can still stay in touch with virtual events. Until we can see each other again, please take care of yourselves, physically and emotionally. I look forward to seeing you online for now and in-person at future events when we are past this.

Mother's Day
Flower Color

Instagram Live on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 8pm EST
or
Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 7:30pm EST

My Mom will celebrate her 80th birthday later this year. During her working years she owned and managed a floral shop. She is an extremely talented floral designer who made beautiful arrangements for all occasions - including my wedding. In retirement she still enjoys creating wonderful bouquets with the fresh flowers in her backyard garden. As a kid growing up during the long winters of Wisconsin, I was surrounded by shipments of exotic tropical flowers, festive bouquets, and a world of vivid color, courtesy of her profession.

In honor of my Mom, and just in time for Mother's Day, I'll offer a new series of small landscape and cityscape paintings inspired by the colors of flowers. Join me on Instagram Live on Thursday, April 29 or Sunday, May 2 when I'll share these new paintings with you.

Seed Starts
How Small Studies Grow Into Big Paintings

August 19 - September 9, 2021, Instagram Live Kick-off Thursday, August 19 at 8pm EST

When I'm not painting at my easel, I enjoy spending time in my veggie garden, and I volunteer in Knoxville as a University of Tennessee Extension Master Gardener. Although I originally planned to share this body of work during the spring, I realized that I needed more time to finish my ideas, so it will be fall-themed. Nonetheless, even late summer going into autumn is a time for starting new things in the garden (and in the studio), and for sharing my love of gardening and painting. With this new artwork, I'll share how small studies grow up into bigger paintings, while sprinkling in a few morsels of gardening wisdom. Join me for an Instagram Live kick-off event on Thursday, August 19 at 8:00pm EST.
