July Glow

I know, I know, the best way to beat the summer heat is to get up early. But that's a tall order for a night owl like me. Occasionally, I manage to muster myself out of bed. In this instance, I went down to Loudon County, Tennessee during a steamy summer morning. The effort was totally worth it, I have to admit. 

I set up beneath a shade tree to capture this moment. I've been craving wide open vistas like this ever since I moved to Tennessee. I'm finally starting to find them.
