The vistas within Black Moshannon State Park near my home in central Pennsylvania are among my favorite sources of inspiration in my landscape painting. Depending upon the time of year, the colors and scenery change radically. There's always something unique to paint.
The series of numbered paintings are those works that were painted directly on location. I am continuing this series, so check back for new additions.
Now Available: My new art book, From My Easel: A Celebration of Pennsylvania's Black Moshannon State Park, recounts the history of the park and offers information about its ecology together with images of my plein air paintings from 2004 through 2009. One half of the proceeds from the sale of each book will be donated to benefit the park.
