I've rhapsodized about this location before, but it bears repeating: If you visit Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania's northeast region, you'll scarcely believe your eyes. The waterfalls and wonderful mountain gorges tucked away within this location are so breathtaking.
I caught this view during this past summer when my husband, dog, and I dragged my poor parents around the abbreviated, 3.2 mile version of Falls Trail that offers views of 21 of the waterfalls found within this National Natural Landmark. They were totally exhausted, but the scenery made it a worthwhile endeavor. You can also check out a great summertime photo from this park on my personal profile page.
