8 x 12. Pastel on paper.
Whenever I decide to work on a painting, it's usually a good sign if I have a title in mind even before I begin the piece. That didn't happen here. Although I really liked this idea from the outset and I was enthused about taking my pink and yellow pastels for a spin. But even after I finished the piece, I was stumped on a title for it. Luckily, my husband took one look at it and blurted out the title without hesitation: Rainy Day Fare. This was in midtown Manhattan.
