I issued a new challenge to myself to try some smaller cityscapes (minis) this year, and thus far I am very pleased with the results. Here, I've combined my unfortunate knack for total rainouts whenever I visit New York City with a love for the strong color schemes that jump out at me in even the most mundane settings. I was immediately drawn to the "painter's primaries" of red, yellow, and blue in this scene.
