I really enjoy exploring shadows in my cityscapes. Here, the entire motivation behind this piece was all about that great wedge of dark foreground shadow and its strong contrast with the intense June afternoon sunlight that bathes the rest of the scene. This was an intersection located within Chicago's near northside.
