The play of manmade light within our nation's cities after dark is one of my favorite themes to explore in my work. In this instance, I was drawn to the woman's distinctive silhouette and the colorful play of light around her. I also liked the receding angles that surrounded her, much like some of my "down the street" views in my other works.
