16 x 16 . Pastel on board.
I love to capture seemingly "everyday" moments and make them interesting snippets in time. Here, a woman waits to cross the street in New York City's SoHo neighborhood, near the intersection of Greene and Prince Street. I never stage my cityscapes because as I gain more experience in choosing my subject matter, I continue to be amazed by what naturally presents itself to me. In this particular piece, I was most interested in her singular stance and the play of cool blues and warm corals around her.
