12 x 16. Pastel on board.
Highly stylized colors are a hallmark of my cityscapes, and in this piece I wanted to play with the recession of space. Specifically, I was interested in creating a "warm" foreground with the reds and oranges that gradually gives way to the "cooler" blues and purples of the distance, punctuated with neutral greens (the Switzerland of the color world). This was near Rockefeller Center in downtown Manhattan.
