Perhaps somewhat unadvisedly, we took our country bumpkin dog to Chicago when we road tripped to the upper Midwest this summer. The thunderous roar of the elevated train system was a bit frightening to her, but she was a trooper. And for me, this architectural feature of downtown remains an endless source of inspiration.
